  • Fishing Tournament - Thanks to all for your support of this event.  A special thanks for the Rotarians who supported more than one shift over the weekend.  We had wonderful weather, friendly fishermen, and had a great opportunity for Rotarian fellowship!  We had fewer anglers, but were able to make the same amount of money as last year!
  • The Sunrise Club's Mayor's Cup t-shirts are now for sale.  You can get early-bird pricing of $18.  See a Sunrise Club member for shirts
  • Bed Race Committee to Start Planning - The Bed Race Committee is hoping you are looking to sponsor a team.  One Twin Bed Left!  New members are always welcome to help plan this exciting event which takes place during the Battle of Plattsburgh.  Contact Linda Brienza or Vicki Marking
  • Host Families Needed - The Youth Exchange Committee is looking for host families in Beekmantown and Peru School Districts for the two youth exchange students who will be with us from Sept. 2018 to June 2019.  Each family will keep students for a 3-4 month period and will be interviewed in their home and must have background checks completed.  Students are Letitia from Brazil going to Saranac and Mire from Japan going to Beekmantown.  Contact   Shelley Fracalossi 518-645-3475 or John Prim for more information.
  • St. John's Rotary says Thanks - Katie Kingsley shared a special thank you note from the St. John's Rotary Club for the donation our Club members made to help with recovery from the devastating hurricane.  They were able to use the funds for scholarships and school supplies - programs that they usually support but have been unable to since they could not hold any fundraisers.  They had not met as a club since August 2017 and were thankful to have their first meeting earlier this month.

  • Membership - Dues are due!  Anyone considering resigning from the club, in the near future, should notify Carmen Carpentier or Marsha Cook at Plattsburgh.rotary@gmail.com.  The district office sends our club a billing statement for dues using the club roster as of May 31st and November 30th.  The club is required to pay these dues, even if someone is no longer with the club.  Rotarians who may have a medical/family reason why they cannot attend meetings, please contact Carmen or a member of the Membership Committee, as you may be able to obtain a medical leave of absence.
