Thank you to everyone who helped make the Battle of Plattsburgh a huge success this past weekend! It was especially wonderful to meet Mr. John Purcell, a Rotarian from Scotland. Check out Plattsburgh Rotary on Facebook and see all the fun we had at the Battle of Plattsburgh.
The End Polio Stationary Bike-A-Thon is set for Saturday, October 6th at Champlain Centre Mall in front of Dick's Sporting Goods from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a Sunrise Club led project with participation from Noon Club. Proceeds from sponsors and on-site donations will be divided 40% for each club and 20% for Rotaract. All proceeds will be sent to Polio Plus. Our goal is to have 10 riders from the Noon Club - you only need to ride for a short period of time. Rotaract will have their own event on Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the college and will supply their own riders.
Rotaract - this year's club is active and meeting weekly every Monday at 6:00 in Rm 8 of the Angell College Center. You are encouraged to attend their meeting and see what they are up to!
The next Board Meeting is Monday September 17th at Noon at the Ground Round. Don't forget it is a requirement to attend a Board Meeting to move from Red Badge to Blue Badge. Everyone is always welcome.
Are you on a committee? We were reminded at the Club Assembly that it is a requirement for membership to be on two committees (one of which has to be a fundraising committee). It is never too late to reach out to a committee chair and hop on any time.
Fishing Derby Committee will be meeting to plan next year's event on Monday September 10th at 5:00pm at Merons. This is a great time to join a fundraising committee!
