DID YOU KNOW?

March is designated as Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Month in the Rotary International calendar, highlighting a key area of focus for the organization. With roughly 3,000 children dying daily from unsafe water, this month underscores the critical need for clean water and sanitation.
 

Committee Meetings

Please check with the Committee Chairs for any specific meeting details.
 
Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of the month at MHAB.   Monday, March 16, at noon at MHABReminder - new members are required to attend a board meeting as part of their steps from a red to blue badge.
 
Centennial Committee - The next meeting meets in person bi-weekly on Wednesdays 11:00-11:45pm at MHAB.  The next meeting is on Wednesday, 3/4.
 
Environmental Committee - This committee meets regularly on the 1st Thursday of each month at noon. The next virtual meeting is on 3/5/26. 
 
 
Mark your calendars! The next Highway Pick-up is scheduled for May 2, 2026. Reach out to Emily Moosmann if you have any questions. 
 
Membership Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:10 am.  The next meeting
will be on Wednesday, March 11th.
 
Fishing Classic Committee -Amanda reminded Rotarians about the sponsorship levels for the 2026 Fishing Tournament.
 
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of the month.  The next meeting is on April 6, at noon at MHAB.  
 
Service Committee - The Service Committee will be meeting bi-monthly going forward. It will be the first Wednesday at 11 am at MHAB. The next Service Committee meeting is March 4, 2026.  Save the date for Rotary's Big Day of Service on May 16.
 
Public Relations Committee - The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, after the weekly meeting.

Rotary Foundation 

It's time to make your year-end gift to support the Rotary Foundation.  Envelopes will be handed out at our next meeting, or you can go online to make your donation here.  To make your gift online, you will need to click on My Rotary and log in.

Fishing Tournament needs YOUR feedback and sponsorship!

Robert Swem needs to hear from you. He'd like to know what was missing or what you might need in the Weigh Station Kits. The committee wants to ensure you have everything you need for a successful weigh-in! 
 
Kira Witherwax launched this year's sponsorship program. Look for flyers on the table at meetings over the next month. Sponsorships are due by March 20th in order to get the full benefit of sponsorship materials. 
 

Centennial Committee - Lights! Camera! Action!

The Business Legacy Challenge is for potential sponsors of the Centennial Celebration; business who may or may not want to attend sponsor the event at $10/years of being in business. Spread the word!  See Bonnie, Kerry or Anna for info!

Giovanna Contini and Barry Fauteux  and were inducted into the Rotary club at the Jan. 14th meeting. 
 
Giovanna is vice president of Senior Treasury Management and a sales officer with NBT Bank. Gia graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Plattsburgh. A lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, she looks forward to participating in the club's service and fundraising activities. Her sponsor is Heather Couture. 
 
Barry is a branch manager with NBT Bank. He is a board member of the ARC Foundation and is active with branch fundraisers and donating to local causes. Barry looks forward to becoming involved with our club and activities. His sponsor is Tony Searing.
