Rotary Food Shelf has donated almost $85,000 to the Food Shelf and the Salvation Army, since humble beginnings of change in a basket. The club has averaged about $5500 each year. Last year we collected $6130, as we had a generous match. This year, starting in July, we have only collected about $1,000. There are many people in our community who need this assistance, please be generous in your donations.
The Polio Bike-a-Thon held last weekend at the mall was a great success - thank you to all that helped prepare and to those who rode and worked at the tables. Over $4,300 dollars was raised. For every dollar raised this month for World Polio the Gates Foundation will donate $2.
The Macdonough Monument Holiday Ornament is now available for $20. They will be on display at UFirst and Dannemora FCU or ask Peter Ensel. Past ornament collectables are still available.
Motor Cycle Raffle will be starting in November. Tickets will be $20 each and the committee is asking each Rotarian to purchase or sell 10 tickets. This event will replace the Radio Day fundraiser. Contact Vicki Marking or Ellen Bouchard to join this new and exciting fundraiser committee!
There will be a Roteract Mixer on November 27th. Rotarians are encouraged to come and meet the Roteract Students. More details to come.
DUES ARE DUE! If you have not paid your dues yet, please pay them ASAP!
The Rotary Store has pens with the Rotary Four Way Test on them in anticipation that every member would purchase one for $2.
