Events & Announcements 

August 27 Meeting

On Wednesday, August 27th we will be meeting at ARC's Explorability Program (279 New York Road- formerly known as The PATH building) instead of MHAB, normal start time at noon.  Members will have the option to tour the building and learn more about their programs and/or play in a corn hole tournament with participants, staff and fellow Rotarians.  MHAB will be offering a bagged lunch option, more details to follow.

Win-Win Raffle Fundraiser

Tickets are out - keep selling and raising funds for the club.  Sales are behind where we were last year.  Using Facebook to sell your tickets can be successful - give it a try!

 

Rotary Bed Races

Save the date for this year's bed race on September 13 at 11a.m. at City Hall Place.  To volunteer, contact Vicki Marking or Linda Brienza.
 

Salvation Army Holiday Bell Ringing

In past years, our Rotary Club has proudly supported the Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign by ringing the bell at local businesses during the holiday season. We’re excited to take part again this year to help raise funds for those in need in our community.  We will be assigned one or two days between November 15 and December 24 for our club’s volunteer shifts.  

If you’d like to participate and support fellow Rotarian Major Wanda Rivera, please sign up at next week’s meeting or text Bob Parks at (518) 578-8195.

Battle of Plattsburgh - Parade Marshals Needed

For the past 25 years, the Plattsburgh Noon Rotary Club has proudly served as Parade Marshals for the annual Battle of Plattsburgh Parade.  Parade Marshals assist with spacing and pacing of parade units to ensure the event runs smoothly.

📅 Date: Saturday, September 13th

🕒 Time: Immediately following our club’s Bed Race fundraiser – you can volunteer for both events!

👥 Volunteers Needed: Approximately 25

If you would like to volunteer, please sign up at next week’s meeting or text Bob Parks at (518) 578-8195.  Let’s keep this proud Rotary tradition going strong!

 

Save the Date for BOP Rotary Club Participation

September 13 is the annual Battle of Plattsburgh in downtown Plattsburgh. There are several ways that we Rotarians can show up to support the day:
  • Volunteer for the Rotary Bed Race
  • Finish selling the last Win-Win Raffle tickets for the drawing following the Bed Race
  • Be a parade marshal

Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of the month at MHAB.  The next meeting is September 22.
 
New Member Orientation - TBD
 
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of the month.  The next meeting is on Sept. 8, at noon at MHAB. 
 
Service Committee - The Service Committee will be meeting bi-monthly going forward. It will be the first Wednesday of the months below, 11 am at MHAB.

Membership Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:10 am.  The next meeting will be Sept. 10.

Environmental Committee -  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Thursday of each month at noon. The next virtual meeting is on September 4th
