Mark Your Calendars!
Due to a MHAB conflict, the meeting on November 13 will be held in the Moore Administration Building (main building on campus) on the 1st floor in the Cougars Den. Steve Frederick will speak briefly about the history of CCC and Ken Knelly will provide a CCC update!
Rotary Foundation Contribution
The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.
We are asking that every Rotarian contribute the Rotary Foundation this year. President Ed said his goal is....100% participation! Any amount, big or small is most appreciated. To donate, go to the Rotary Foundation page, Venmo (Venmo is: @Plattsburgh_Rotary; make sure to indicate it's for the Rotary Foundation) or by mailing a check (PO Box 86, Plattsburgh). You can also bring cash/check to our meeting.
Holiday Meal Program
Our Rotary Club is working with J.C.E.O. and the Senior Citizens Council to provide holiday meals to needy families and senior citizens.
This is the 17th year that our club has provided the fixings for a meal or provided a holiday meal gift card to area families. We are hoping to help more than 35 families this year.
If you are interested in adopting a family and providing a nourishing meal, please contact Bob Parks at (518) 578-8195 or by email at bob.parks2016@gmail.com. Ryan Lee will be Bob’s co-chair this year.
Also, Bob will have a sign-up sheet at this week’s meeting.
Family names, addresses, etc. will be assigned in early December.
First Thursdays
We have our next "First Thursday" social event scheduled! Thank you to Amanda Prescott and her husband, Romeyn, for hosting our group!
The event will be held on Thursday, November 7th, starting at 5:30 p.m. at Amanda's home, 23 Haven Lane, Peru, NY. Amanda will provide some snacks.
Rotarians attending are welcome to bring snacks and/or drinks to share. If you plan on attending, RSVP to
Vicki Marking or
Amanda so we can know the number of attendees. Thank you!
