Other Club Updates

In Person Meetings
The Club will be returning to fully in-person meetings starting September 7th at the MHAB Life Skills Campus.  There will no longer be a Zoom / hybrid option. Board meetings will also return to in-person beginning on Monday, Sept. 12. Committee meetings may be in person or hybrid/remote, whatever is the best option for those participating at that time. 
 
The Wheel
Stay tuned and be ready - the new and improved Rotary Wheel will be making a come back next month..
 

Events & Committee News

BOP Parade Marshals

Sign up to be a parade marshal for the Battle of Plattsburgh parade happening on Sept. 10.  Contact Bob Parks or watch for the sign up sheet at an upcoming meeting to participate.
 

Rotary Vacation Raffle

The Club's annual raffle is now live!  Turn in any sold tickets to Meghan Weeden.  The drawing is September 7th.
 

Celebrity Bed Race Regatta

Ready? Set? Go!  Are you ready? Join us Saturday September 10th for the Battle of Plattsburgh Celebrity Rotary Bed Race. We will need your help to set up prior to the 11:00 race start. Contact Linda or Vicki for more information.
 
The Bed Race Team is also looking for storage space for the beds. If you have any ideas please contact Ken Knelly.
 

Rotary Wing Fest

Planning has begun for a new Rotary fundraiser. The Rotary Wing Fest is scheduled for Saturday May 20, 2023. Location to be announced. Next planning meeting is September 7th at 11:00am at MHAB. Contact Ed Kirby if you have questions or would like to join the planning team.
 

2023 FISU World Games

A Rotary member from Californnia is coming to Lake Placid for the World Games and is looking for housing. Contact Ken Knelly if you have any suggestions. 
 

Rotary Committee Meeting Schedule

Please note: All Committee Meetings will be virtual until further notice. 
 
Rotary Board Meeting - The next Rotary Board meeting will be Monday, September 19 at noon.  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 3rd Monday of every month at noon and will meet in-person.
 
Program Committee - This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Monday of every month at noon. Due to Labor Day, the next meeting is September 12 at noon at Valcour Brewing.
 
Service Committee - The next Service Committee meeting will be Wednesday, September 7th.  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of every month at 11:00am. 
 
Membership Committee -  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 11:00am. The next meeting is September 14. 
 
Safety Committee - Carol Arnold and Theresa Hayden will be giving weekly safety updates & reminders.  Suggestions and new members are welcome, please contact Carol or Theresa.
 
Environmental Committee -  This meeting is regularly scheduled for the 1st Thursday of each month at noon. The next meeting is October 1.

Anne Cutaiar tracks attendance. Please contact her if you do not see yourself on the roster or you were sharing a Zoom connection with someone. You can check your attendance record on Club Runner under the My Attendance tab.  If you watch or listen to a previous weekly meeting  and want to get a makeup, please notify Anne Cutaiar (anne@lakechamplaintravel.com) via email and include your name, email address, the weekly meeting date you watch and how long you watched/listened.
