Club Reminders & Updates

ROTARY MEETING @ CENTENNIAL PARK

This Wednesday's picnic / meeting will be held at Rotary Centennial Park, which is located across the railroad track from Valcour Brewing Company on the Old Base in Plattsburgh. Tickets for the annual Rotary Vacation Raffle will be drawn during the picnic. This raffle was extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic. (NOTE: The club plans to Zoom the meeting, if a data connection is possible.) There is a barricade so you cannot drive over the bridge. There will be a golf cart available if you need assistance. There will be pop up tents to protect guests from sun or rain. Rain date is 9/23 if it there is a heavy rain on 9/2. Thank you to the spunky group who helped clean up the park last week!

If you plan to physically attend, please place your food order (https://mhab-fresh.square.site/) as early as possible before noon Tuesday (Sept. 1) and bring a chair to sit in since some of the fixed tables and chairs in the park have been damaged. The luncheon combo is $15.00, and the Rotary dessert/beverage is $5.00.

This Wednesday's luncheon combo choices are:

  1. Pulled Pork Sandwich
  2. Grilled Veggie Sandwich
  3. Gluten-free Wrap

All include baked bean and cole slaw.

Guidelines to attend the meetings at MHAB:

The Rotary club is following Food Establishment Guidelines to have the meeting.

  • Upon arriving Wednesday, remember to wear your facemask even though you will be outdoors.
  • Remember to social distance your chairs. When seated and eating or drinking, you may take your mask off as the tables have been socially distanced and there will only be 2 - 3 people at each table.
  • When you arrive, you will check in at the table with Forrest and put any donation you want into the Food Shelf bowl on the table.
  • You can then go get your lunch and refreshments and take a seat. We will not have anyone walking around the group with the microphone and to collect things.

Rotarians from other clubs

Rotarians from other clubs may attend, but must adhere to the same guidelines listed above including registering and selecting lunch ahead of time. If you would like to participate via ZOOM, please send an email to the Plattburgh Club Secretary  by 9 a.m. Wednesday morning requesting access. Please include your name, email, and Rotary club you regularly attend in your request to attend.
