FISHING CLASSIC
Plans are still underway for the 2020 Fishing Classic set for June 5th - 7th (assuming compliance with NY and VT state health guidelines.) Last week, Peter Cadieux shared that registration is an online process which eliminates the need to handle funds and we know from experience that a majority of registrations will come in at the last minute. Things will need to be modified to follow health guidelines at the weigh stations; there are plans to create an explanatory video for Rotarians and anglers. The awards ceremony may be on Facebook live (with no requirement for winners to attend.) Additionally, the Committee is looking at incorporating t-shirt sales at weigh stations for $10, magnet promotions, a 50/50 raffle and a youth prize. Peter is looking for sponsors to supplement the youth prizes, which would likely be very small otherwise. For any specific questions or suggestions, please contact Peter at 569-2188.
